Bringing Holyport Together
So maybe the weather wasn’t entirely on our side, but this year’s Holyport Fair was still a fantastic and joyful event, including the ever-popular dog show (featuring the waggiest tail and best biscuit catcher awards, of course) and the legendary tug-of-war competition in which the fearsomely well-prepared team from The George eventually triumphed over the close contenders from the Belgian Arms and the valiant Holyport Dads. Much manly handshaking all round!
Well done and thanks to all who helped out, and in particular to the Fair Committee who do such a tremendous job in making it all happen. The Fair is a crucial fundraiser for the village hall and grounds and we couldn’t manage without it.
Next year’ s fair will be on Saturday 5 June. Get that date in your diary now!
