Main Entrance/Foyer

There are two spaces for hire.

The entrance to the main hall is through the foyer, off which are also the toilets and a cloakroom with a baby-changing unit.

The entrance to our new smaller room is at the back of the hall. The room is suitable to hire for meetings and for smaller-group activities and has its own kitchenette, accessible loo, tables, chairs and projector and screen.


Main Hall

The main hall is light and airy with windows along two sides and measures approximately 35′ x 50′ (1066cm x 1524cm). It has a newly renovated sprung wooden floor marked up for full-size badminton. At the far end is a large raised stage, which has recently been refurbed and now has  performance-ready sound and lighting system and new stage curtains, and available for hire by drama and dance groups. 

We have now replaced most of our old folding chairs with 110 comfortable lightweight stackable chairs, which are a huge improvement. There are also 28 tables with folding legs each measuring 6′ x 2.3′ (183cm x 69cm) and ten smaller tables. 

The official number of people allowed in the Hall are:
For dancing plus some seating at tables – 200
For all- table-seated-style events – 140
For a closely seated audience – 150, or 6 wheelchairs and attendants and 140 chairs.

PLEASE NOTE the maximum event size must not exceed 235 attendees. This number includes both those inside and outside of the hall. If your event exceeds this number of attendees please do not book the hall. If your event exceeds this maximum number you will automatically forfeit your entire deposit.

The Bar

The bar sits alongside the main hall and is purpose built, housing its own sink, fridge and large plumbed-in urn for tea/coffee etc.
A first-aid box is situated in this area next to the fire exit.

VERY IMPORTANT : If you intend to sell alcohol at your event you must be in receipt of a valid licence issued by the RBWM.

The Kitchen

The bar area leads through to the kitchen. Whilst not suitable for mass catering, the facilities include three sinks, a full-height fridge, microwave, 1000cm electric range cooker with 2 ovens, griddle, 4 hobs and separate grill, electric kettles, saucepans and oven trays etc.

The kitchen looks out over the playing fields and children’s playground.

Tennis Court

The tennis court is available for hire all year round. See Bookings for further details.
NB We are carrying out a major refurbishment of the tennis court in mid November so the court will be out of action for a couple of weeks while the work is being done. 

Children’s Play Area

Our brand-new Platinum Jubilee Playground is now open for use! The playground includes lots of accessible equipment, and also features a soft surface, which makes play much safer and more enjoyable.  

There is also an all-weather Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) fitted with a five-a-side football goal, a netball/basketball hoop and a cricket wicket. This area is suitable for children of all ages but is primarily aimed at 8-18-year-olds.
